Scottish football LIVE: Rangers legend irked by First Minister's comments, Neil Lennon 'never earned right to be Celtic manager', Rangers star says Sky Sports 'upset' with him, duo ruled out of running for Celtic job

The biggest news in Scottish football this season looks like it’s being put on hold – for a few days at least.

Celtic have reportedly decided against sacking manager Neil Lennon following Sunday’s Betfred Cup defeat to Ross County, despite furious demands from supporters that a change be made at the manager’s position.

The ugly scenes at Parkhead following Sunday’s match, where supporters clashed with police and reportedly threw missiles at departing players, have apparently contributed to majority shareholder Dermot Desmond’s decision to stick with the status quo until Thursday’s match with Milan in the Europa League at the earliest.

As expected, Lennon and Celtic are dominating the news agenda today. Though there are stories also breaking from elsewhere in Scottish football.

We’ll have it all as it soon as it drops.
