'That is scandalous': Mohamed Elyounoussi blasted over mobile phone peak as Neil Lennon promises to deal with Celtic star

Celtic star Mohamed Elyounoussi has been heavily criticised for appearing to look at his mobile phone while his team-mates were still battling against Sparta Prague in the Europa League.

The on-loan Southampton star was taken off during the second half of the club’s shocking 4-1 defeat at Celtic Park on Thursday evening.

He was later caught by the BT Sport cameras having a peak at his phone from his pocket while he sat in the stands.

Pundit Chris Sutton was quick to condemn the player, saying he should be fined for this indiscretion. Manager Neil Lennon, when asked about it after the game, said it was something he would have to “deal with”.

Sutton said: “What I question is the players commitment. There’s a player in the stands on his mobile phone. That is totally, totally unacceptable.

“That is scandalous. Is he committed to the cause? Is he committed to the club? That is totally unacceptable.

“I would fine him two weeks wages for that.”
