George Soros team rubbish Green link

Sources close to George Soros have dismissed claims that he is ready to buy into Rangers . Former Rangers chief executive Charles Green has spoken of his desire to front a £10m takeover of the Ibrox club with backing from US billionaire George Soros.

However the Union of Fans say they been informed by senior representatives of Soros’s fund management firm that they have never heard of Charles Green and have no interest in investing in Rangers. (Record)

Celtic boss wants to spend CL money on training facility

Celtic manager Ronny Deila has expressed his wish to use a significant chunk of the club’s potential £20 million Champions League windfall to build a new indoor facility at their Lennoxtown training centre, rather than use up all of his budget on new players.

Hibs boss says ill-discipline will cost promotion

Alan Stubbs says that players being booked and sent off will limit the Easter Road side’s chances of promotion as he is operating with a trimmed down squad following relegation. Stubbs says he has opted for quality over quantity in his playing staff and that his team cannot cope without key players.

Mark Burchill says Hearts did not show “disrespect”
