Hamburg linked with move for Stefan Johansen

Bundesliga side Hamburg are watching Celtic midfielder Stefan Johansen having had the player scouted during Norway’s qualifier with Azerbaijan. Johansen has two years left on his current deal and it is expected that only a “significant” fee would force Celtic’s hand. (Mail)

Ronny Deila is considering a move for £2m rated Belgium striker Jelle Vossen to lead Celtic’s assault on the Champions League. The Genk forward made an impression while on loan at Middlesbrough last season with the Teeside club keen to secure a permanent move also. (Sun)

Cash a stumbling block for Celtic moves for Anya and Fletcher

Celtic are reported to have been put off by the £4m fee Watford are demanding for Scotland playmaker Ikechi Anya with the Parkhead club only looking to pay around £2m for the 27 year-old.

Long-term target Steven Fletcher also looks off limits due to the player’s wage demands. The Sunderland striker is on £60,000 a week with Celtic only likely to offer a maximum of £25,000. (Record)

Frank McAvennie urges Scepovic second chance

Frank McAvennie has advised Celtic manager Ronny Deila to look no further than his current squad for the striker capable of shooting his team into the group stage of the Champions League next season.

Celtic are scouring the continent for fresh frontline talent this summer, with Bosnian international Milan Djuric the latest to be strongly linked with the Scottish champions
