Ronny Deila has no fears for job after Molde defeat

RONNY Deila insists he has no concerns over his job as Celtic manager despite the latest European failure of his tenure.

A 2-1 defeat by Molde at Celtic Park last night leaves the Scottish champions of the verge of elimination from the Europa League.

They remain at the bottom of Group A with two points from four games, although their fate does still rest in their own hands after Ajax and Fenerbahce drew 0-0 in Amsterdam.

SPFL to hold emergency meeting over Rangers EBT verdict

THE SPFL will today hold crisis talks to discuss what course of action, if any, is to be taken in the aftermath of the Big Tax Case verdict against Rangers.

On Wednesday the Court of Session ruled in favour of HMRC that oldco Rangers were liable to pay tax on the Employee Benefit Trusts given to players and managers.

It is believed that, having initially ruled on the issue back in 2012, when the league was governed under the SPL body, the SPFL feel powerless to hand out any fresh punishment to Rangers. (Daily Mail)

SHOULD Mark Warburton ever have been in any doubt about the unrelenting focus of media and public attention on Rangers then events of the last few days will have put them to bed.

The club has been a poster boy for maladministration during the 21st century but bad news has been accelerating towards them this week and Warburton insists that he and his players must shut out the white noise which is threatening to engulf the Light Blues.

THE chippies’ loss has been Hibernian’s gain after Jason Cummings revealed how ditching battered Mars Bars has helped him satisfy his appetite for goals.

Rangers look to sign City youngster George Glendon

RANGERS manager Mark Warburton is keen to tie up a deal to sign Manchester City youngster George Glendon.

The 20-year-old midfielder has been training with the Ibrox club recently as he looks to find regular first-team football.

It is not known yet whether Rangers will be looking to sign the player permanently or take on another loan deal as they look to establish links with another English Premier League club. (Daily Record)
