Reila condemns booing Celtic fans

Celtic manager Ronny Deila said he was “disappointed” that some fans disrupted a minute’s silence on Remembrance Sunday.

He added that the club would need to do something about behaviour in the stands after some fans shouted out during the silence before the match started.

He said: “I am disappointed about it – but this is something the club will maybe say something about. Personally, it is disappointing.”

Gavin Gunning set to make shock return to United

Irish defender Gavin Gunning could make a shock return to Tannadice after leaving to join Birmingham City in 2014.

Gunning is rumoured to be joining training with the United squad today in a bid to be re-signed.

Carlton Cole not trained enough to debut

Celtic’s latest signing Carlton Cole ‘hasn’t trained enough yet’ to make his debut for Celtic, according to boss Ronny Deila.

The striker signed for Celtic last month after a trial period but has so far remained on the bench.

Deila was prompted to admit, according to a tweet from Celtic’s official Twitter handle, that the player “hadn’t trained very much yet.”(HITC)

Warburton loses interest in Glendon but still keen on Eustace

Rangers manager Mark Warburton has discussed his transfer plans for the club after Rangers was linked to bids for George Glendon and John Eustace.

Warburton has confirmed Ibrox will not sign Manchester City’s George Glendon despite impressing while training with Rangers last week.

Rangers’ bid for Derby County’s John Eustace had also reportedly hit a stumbling block but Warburton would still be interested in coming back to him later in the season. (HITC)

Stevie Campbell quits as Dundee United youth role

Former youth director at Dundee United Stevie Campbell quit the club on Sunday evening just days before he was due to face the board over allegations of bullying and racism.

United had spent four months investigating the claims, having suspended Campbell in August but had yet to question him for his side of the story. (Daily Record)

Referee Craig Thomson in the dock over Caley Thistle penalty

Craig Thomson has come under fire from Motherwell after a ropey penalty decision proved to be a turning point in their tie against Inverness Caley Thistle.

The hotly-disputed penalty was given in the 11th minute and then retaken after it had been saved. Motherwell’s Connor Ripley has insisted that the decision was not only a turning point but the wrong decision.

He said: “It’s a total game changer. It was just the manner of the way we conceded it. I save it, we’re all cheering and then he says ‘no, you’ve got to take it again’. It’s just frustrating.” (Daily Record)
