Rangers will return to Europe

Boss Ally McCoist says Rangers can return to the Champions League in five years time.

Johnston hits back

Kilmarnock chairman Michael Johnston has denied that he demanded at least £1m for his club shareholding.

A consortium who were looking to take his share yesterday issued a statement saying that Johnston had demanded the sum despite the club’s debt of almost £10m. (Herald)

Doncaster is SPFL chief

Neil Doncaster has been made the first chief executive of the newly-created Scottish Professional Football League.

Doncaster and former Scottish Football League chief executive David Longmuir were the only two people in the running for the role. (Scotsman)

Dens fans vote

Dundee fans are set to resolve the ongoing ownership saga, as they vote on the takeover bid by a US consortium.

Manager John Brown, who has been quite vocal over the delays, is also set to get more cash for players. (Daily Mail)

Hearts newco?

Hearts may yet be left with no option other than to go the “newco” route, administrator Trevor Birch admits.

It is thought that Hearts’s target of selling 3000 season tickets to stay afloat has almost been met, with a few a 200 more needed (Scotsman)

Celtic sign Mouyokolo

Celtic have agreed to sign ex-Wolves defender Steven Mouyokolo to a one-year deal, subject to a medical.

The French star was injured in February, but it is hoped that he has returned to full health. (Various)

Mullen in the mix

New Hibs man Fraser Mullen will be thrown in at the deep end as boss Pat Fenlon considers using the ex-Hearts kid in their European campaign.
