Rangers cash warning

Rangers could face further financial trouble if they don’t reign in their spending.

Writing in The Herald, Michael Grant warns that the Ibrox club, who have made the most off-season signings in Scotland, cost around £1.5m to run per month, but only £1.1m is coming in.

McPake hits back

Hibs captain James McPake has hit back at rumours that he was set to retire through injury this summer, calling the internet critics “a joke” and a “shambles”.

McPake was devastated to miss Hibs’ Scottish Cup final in May, watching as the Easter Road side were beaten 3-0 by Celtic. (Scotsman)

Celtic eye trio

Celtic boss Neil Lennon isn’t done yet with his summer signings, as the Hoops go on tour in Germany.

The manager is already eyeing three more targets as Victor Wanyama looks set to head to Cardiff. Steven Mouyokolo and Kevin Doyle are thought to be among those on his list. (Daily Express)

Former Hearts keeper Craig Gordon is flying to Spain for a series of injections which he hopes will let him play again.
