McCoist to take paycut

Ally McCoist’s pay is to be cut in half in a bid to help Rangers find financial stability.

The manager is currently on £825,000 but he will see his salary cut to around £400,000. (Daily Mail)

Murray under pressure from Rangers fans

Malcolm Murray has come under fire from Rangers fans after he denied responsibility for the director pay packages revealed in the club’s accounts this week.

Chief executive Craig Mather claimed that the former chairman decided the salaries of Charles Green and Brian Stockbridge, with Green receiving £933,000 and Stockbridge getting around £400,000, much of which was a bonus. (Scotsman)

Green also hit the headlines after he bought Castle Marcei, near Argentan in Normandy for just over 400,000 euros. During his time at Rangers he was paid a salary of £333,077, a £360,000 bonus and benefits which amounted to £22,449. He also received a severance payment of £217,850. (Scotsman)
