FORMER Hull boss Phil Brown a candidate for Partick Thistle job, Rangers say payment plan agreed with Orlit over winding-up order and Hearts striker Calum Paterson out for three months.

The Maryhill club’s board will hold a meeting to discuss whether or not to appoint former Hull City manager Phil Brown as manager.

The Firhill side have been inundated with offers since the departure of Jackie McNamara to Dundee United.

Brown has been out of work since leaving Preston last year.

Interim coach Alan Archibald, however, remains the favourite to take over. (Sun)

Rangers insist club is not under threat from winding-up order

Channel 4 news reported that Orlit Enterprises was seeking a winding up order over an alleged debt of £400,000 for helping source the initial investment which helped Charle Green’s company acquire the assets of oldco Rangers last year.

The company is linked to Chan Fook Meng who is believed to be a well established associate of Green.

Rangers say they club is “debt-free” and have arranged a payment plan. (Various)

Hearts’ Calum Paterson out for three months

Hearts have confirmed that defender striker Callum Paterson has been ruled out of action for the next three months.

The 18-year-old hasn’t played since tearing ligaments in his foot in training at the end of January. (Hearts official site)
