Bolton investigate allegations made against Neil Lennon

Bolton Wanderers have confirmed they are investigating claims made against manager Neil Lennon in the Sunday Mirror.

The paper published an article that claimed Lennon had been having an affair with a younger woman, whom he’d then ‘threatened with a knife’ in a bid to keep her quiet.

A club statement read: “In response to an article published in the Sunday Mirror on Sunday 20 December, Bolton Wanderers can confirm that the club are currently conducting an internal investigation regarding the matter concerned. The club will be making no further comment at this moment in time.” (Various)

Celtic boss Ronny Deila favourite for the sack

Scottish bookmakers McBookie have made Ronny Deila the outright favourite to be the next Ladbrokes Premiership manager to be sacked following Celtic’s loss to Motherwell on Saturday.

The independent books cut the odds down to Evens amid rumours on social media that a Parkhead board meeting will take place at some point today to discuss the manager’s future.
