Michael O’Halloran keen on return to England

St Johnstone frontman Michael O’Halloran says he is in no rush to leave the Perth club.

The 24-year-old has been linked with Celtic, Rangers and Swansea but says he’s happy to be with Saints although he admitted he would like a future return to England where he started his pro career with Bolton. (Record)

Scott Allan explains Twitter absence

Celtic midfielder Scott Allan has explained why he does not make too many posts on social networking site Twitter.

The former Scotland Under-21 international, who joined the Parkhead side from Hibernian in the summer transfer window, does not seem to be missing the action on social media.

“I’ve not been on Twitter since I came to Celtic,” Allan told The Scottish Sun.”It’s probably a problem not worth having.

“I don’t need to go on social media and read negative stuff every day. It’s something I can do without.

“I’m glad I did that. It’s part of life for a lot of people these days but it’s one I can do without.” (Sun)

Charlie Mulgrew out for eight weeks

Celtic midfielder Charlie Mulgrew has been ruled out for eight weeks after suffering a recurrence of the hamstring tendon problem which sidelined him for six months last season.
