Rangers players are bored, says McLeish

ALEX McLeish reckons Rangers players have become bored with their League One romp.

Ally McCoist’s mean stretched their unbeaten run to 39 games at the weekend and are 32 points clear in the league.

Former Scotland boss McLeish said: “They’ve looked a bit stale of late which is maybe to do with them having wrapped it up for so long. Are they bored?” (Daily Record)

Fixture chaos fears over Hearts crisis

WORRIED SPFL bosses fear Hearts going bust could cause fixture chaos.

If the financially strapped Tynecastle club are unable to complete their fixtures because of the ongoing cash crisis, the SPFL could enact rule C53 which would expunge all their results this season.

Administrator Bryan Jackson is said to be trying to draw up emergency plans to keep Hearts playing for the rest of the season even if he is forced to call in liquidators this month. (Daily Record).

Celtic join hunt for Fabianski

CELTIC have joined the clubs showing an interest in Arsenal goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski.

The 28-year-old is out of contract in the summer and while the Parkhead club may not be able to compete financially with rival suitors FC Basle, Schalke and Sevilla, they could offer the prospect of regular European football.

Any move for Fabianski would raise question marks over the future of England international Fraser Forster. (Daily Mail)

Stanton warns Hibs players over drop

HIBS legend Pat Stanton has warned the Easter Road players to get their act together before it’s too late.

Hibs are six points above 11th-placed St Mirren and are in a relegation dogfight having won just once in 13 games.

Stanton said: “They players need to put their shoulder to the wheel. They are in a difficult position and they’ve got to try to get themselves out of it, but with what we’ve seen in recent weeks you maybe doubt they will.” (Daily Express)

Rogic reckon Commons is too good

TOM Rogic reckons he has no chance of getting a game for Celtic because Kris Commons is too good.

The 21-year-old Australian midfielder has expressed doubts about his Parkhead future and has been farmed out on loan to homeland club Melbourne Victoria.

Rogic said: “Kris Commons plays in my position. He scores almost every week. It’s difficult for anybody to come in and take his place.” (Daily Express)

Creaney offers support to Macleod over illness

ALLOA’S James Creaney has come out in support of Rangers youngster Lewis Macleod who is battling back from a virus that has affected his heart muscles.

The Wasps defender, 25, revealed he has been playing with a hole in his heart - although he kept it secret and told his manager and team-mates he had an ankle injury.

Creaney, who had surgery two weeks ago, said: “I’ve got my fingers crossed for him that everything will be OK and he’ll be back playing soon.” (Daily Record)
