SFA probe new Griffith’s chant claim
Leigh Griffiths is at the centre of a new controversy as SFA compliance officer Vincent Lunny is to examine a new video of the Celtic striker, reportedly showing the Celtic striker singing a racially abusive song about former Hearts player Rudi Skacel. The alleged incident follows a previous video which had landed the striker in trouble with his club, in which Griffiths was filmed singing ‘Hearts are going bust’ in a pub with Hibernian fans prior to the last Edinburgh Derby.
Neil Lennon, who has already censured Griffiths over the previous video saying “I don’t want him doing more - otherwise his career at Celtic won’t be as long as he maybe wants it to be” will not be amused by his star’s latest antics. (Daily Mail)
Lennon linked with Norwich after Hughton sacked

Hide AdNeil Lennon is second favourite with the bookies to be installed as the new Norwich manager after Chris Hughton’s sacking on Sunday. The Celtic manager follows former Celtic player and ex-Cardiff manager Malky McKay in topping the Canaries’ wish-list.
In recent weeks, Lennon admitted his surprise that, given his success with Celtic, few clubs had targeted him as their new manager.
Norwich currently lie 17th in the Premiership, seven points ahead of basement club Sunderland. (Daily Record)
McCoist not in fear of future
Ally McCoist says he does not fear for the future of his career, despite suffering one of his worst losses as Rangers manager. The Gers boss and his players were booed by furious fans after their shock 1-0 defeat to Raith Rovers in the Ramsden’s Cup Final. He hinted he will know when the time is right for him to believe but he thinks it won’t be any time soon, saying: “I don’t fear for my future at all. No. Nobody will need to tell me anything that’s for sure.” (Daily Record)
Hearts D-Day looms
Foundation of Hearts chairman Ian Murray MP is refusing to consider the consequences of failure in the bid to save the club. The deal hinges on Lithuanian creditors accepting Ann Budge’s BIDCO 1874 group, however if they do not then the club will face liquidation. Worse still for the club, it is alleged that Budge is ready to walk away from the deal if the situation is not resolved quickly, a meeting in Vilnus between representatives of the two parties will take place today.
Edinburgh plumbing boss Pat Munro launched a late bid for the club this morning, offering £15 million over 15 years to Ubig and Ukio Bankas in return for their joint 80 per cent shareholding. (Daily Record)
Stephen Mouyokolo delighted to be back in the game
Celtic defender Stephen Mouyokolo is delighted to be back playing after a devastating injury during a training game ruled him out for most of this season. He states he was just glad to be back playing when brought on as a sub against Dundee United on Saturday and hopes to win a new deal to stay at the club, saying: “People don’t realise that football is your life. It’s really great to be out there again and feel the atmosphere.” (Daily Express)
Lewis wants to start over again
Hibs midfielder Lewis Stevenson says he can’t wait for the club’s miserable season to come to an end so and his team mates can start afresh but first he wants his team to survive the drop. He says: “It’s been strange. A few weeks ago we were hoping to sneak into the top six and now we are just hoping to avoid the relegation play off.” (The Scotsman)
