The Foundation of Hearts say that they welcome the interest in the club from former SRU chief Gordon McKie, but insist that they will still make their own offer to keep the club alive.

Driver heartache

Andy Driver has spoken of his heartache at seeing his old club in trouble.

Despite now playing for US side Houston Dynamo, Driver has been keeping an eye on things from the other side of the Atlantic, and is gutted to see Hearts going through such turmoil. (Sun)

Allan Johnston looks set to be named today as the new manager of Kilmarnock in a two-year-deal.

English clubs are continuing to circle Celtic star Victor Wanyama, after he turned down a move to Southampton.

The midfielder’s proposed £12.5m deal collapsed, but he is still expected to leave Celtic this summer. (Herald)

Rangers fans hit out

Rangers fans have hit out at Hearts for asking for a friendly fundraising match at Tynecastle.

Gary Locke says he spoke to Ally McCoist about the match, but Rangers have other commitments and had to decline. But Rangers fans say they would have snubbed the fixture anyway as Hearts were the first club to deny the Ibrox club access to the SPL. (Daily Record)

Pars in secrecy fears

Dunfermline administrator Bryan Jackson says he is frustrated by the secrecy surrounding a proposed takeover bid by a mystery group.

The bidders are making every effort to remain anonymous, but the Pars Supporters’ Trust have called on them to reveal their identities. (Sun)

Three Scottish teams are eyeing Hearts striker John Sutton, as he looks set to leave the club.
