Greece eye McLeish as next boss

FORMER Rangers, Hibs and Scotland boss Alex McLeish is being targeted by Greece as the new national team coach.

The Greeks finished bottom of their qualifying group and sacked two managers in 12 months during a campaign to forget.

And McLeish, most recently with Belgian side Genk, is not ruling out a return to international football - but has said he is looking at club management. (Scottish Sun)

English trio eye Dundee United’s Scott Fraser

SCOTT Fraser is being watched by a trio of English clubs, according to report.

Swansea City, Nottingham Forest and Derby County are all tracking the 20-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Airdrie and has made 10 appearances for United this season. (Various)

Bolton set to swoop for Cole

BOLTON boss Neil Lennon is set to snatch Carlton Cole from under Celtic’s nose as the former Hoops gaffer looks to solve his striking dilemma.

The Trotters have scored just nine goals this season and are propping up the Championship.

And Lennon could nip in and bring Cole to the Macron Stadium, despite the former West Ham forward training with Celtic.

Lennon is also reportedly eyeing Kyle Lafferty and Gary Hooper. (Various)

RANGERS have appointed a head of analysis as Mark Warburton continues to bolster his backroom staff.

Fyvie defiant over title race

FRASER Fyvie is refusing to concede the Scottish Championship title race is over, with Rangers 11 points ahead of Hibs.

The Easter Road side face Falkirk this evening and have the chance to close the gap to 8 points with a victory.

El Alagui close to Hibs return

FARID El Alagui could be included in the Hibs squad to face Falkirk tonight after a lengthy injury lay-off.

The ex-Bairns striker has been banging in the goals for Hibernian’s development squad as he returns from a spell on the sidelines, and Alan Stubbs is hopeful of having a full squad to choose from. (BBC)
