Higdon surprise

Ex-Motherwell striker Michael Higdon has surprised everyone with a move to the Dutch Eredivisie, joining NEC Nij-megen on a two-year deal.

The 29-year-old striker was named PFA Scotland player of the year last season, and had been expected to move to England. (Scotsman)

Hooper bids snubbed

Celtic look set to reject two £4m bids to land Gary Hooper, as Norwich City and QPR attempt to sign the star striker.

Sources have claimed that Hooper wants to leave the club this summer, but it is thought that the club values him at around £6m. (Daily Mail)

Lyle leaving

Falkirk’s Lyle Taylor looks set to head to Rotherham after the Bairns prepare to accept a £200,000 bid.

Taylor brought in a lot of attention with his 29-goal effort, and the move will be a blow to Hibs boss Pat Fenlon, who had thought of him as a possible replacement for Leigh Griffiths. (Sun)

Hearts boost

Hearts have received a boost with the return of Scott Robinson from injury.

James McFadden has joined Motherwell as they train in Spain, boosting Stuart McCall’s hopes that he can land the fan favourite on a more permanent basis.

Lennon contract talks

Neil Lennon is hoping to have his one-year contract extended and improved, after he revealed that he has been in talks with Celtic owner Dermot Desmond.
