Gary Hooper could have played last game for Celtic

Neil Lennon admited that it is likely that striker Gary Hooper has played his last game for the Parkhead club. The Englishman missed last night’s 3 - 0 friendly loss to Union Berlin and admitted that it has been difficult to convince the 25-year-old to stay.

He said: “Has he played his last game for Celtic? Never say never but it’s looking more and more that way.” (Record)

Mather appointment backed by Walter Smith

Rangers chairman Walter Smith has backed the appointment of Craig Mather as chief executive adding that he has a clear vision and is the man to take “Rangers back to the pinnacle of Scottish football”. (Record)

Hearts administration: bidders for Tynecastle club emerge
