Questions over Dave King’s approval

The Professional Game Board (PGB), the SFA’s 11 man scrutiny body, was excluded from the final discussion on whether or not to grant Dave King ‘fit and proper’ status.

The decision means King is now free to take on the chairman role at Rangers.

The SFA say, however, that the approval of the PGB was not needed despite the body ruling on Paul Murray’s appointment. (Scotsman)

- Dave King officially became the chairman of Rangers last night and called it one of the biggest honours of his life.

He takes over from Paul Murray who was interim chairman when the new board formed in March.

King was passed ‘fit and proper’ by the SFA on Tuesday. (Sun)
