Celtic will have to sweat over Mikael Lustig’s fitness as an X-ray will determine if he’ll face AC Milan in the Champions League on September 18.

Hearts plan to appeal against the red card Jamie Hamill picked up for handball against Inverness, after TV footage showed the ball making contact with his face, and not his hand.

Scots stars out

Scotland will be without West Brom pair James Morrison and Graham Dorrans against Belgium and Macedonia, after Morrison picked up a severe groin strain against Swansea.

Tomlin row

Celtic’s relentless pursuit of Peterborough’s Lee Tomlin caused a row in the Posh dressing room as the player clashed with manager Barry Fry after Saturday’s game with Crawley.

The various offers came in throughout the game, which Fry says left Tomlin’s head all over the place and he had to be taken off. Tomlin wanted to go to Celtic but the offers were all rejected. (Daily Mail)

Hearts group kicks off funding plan

The Foundation of Hearts today begin their plan to fund the club with fans’ direct debits.

Around 7,500 fans have signed up to the scheme, and the plan will be used as working capital if a CVA is reached. (Various)
