Hoops to make new bid for Berggreen
CELTIC are set to make a new bid for Eintracht Braunschweig striker Emil Berggreen after it emerged the German side had knocked back a £2.25m bid for the Dane on deadline day.
The 22-year-old was the subject of a last-minute bid from Celtic, with Hamburg and Werder Bremen also keeping tabs on the forward.

N’Sakala confirms Celtic talks
FABRICE N’Sakala has revealed that he held talks with Celtic over a potential move during the summer, but nothing materialised.
The DR Congo international, currently with Belgian outfit Anderlecht, said that he had also had talks with French side LOSC Lille, but ‘financial situations’ prevented anything from happening.
“This summer I sat around the table with Celtic. Also Lille was interested. A loan spell was a possibility, but it all came to nothing because of financial situations,” said N’Sakala. (Voetbalkrant)
Rangers join Souttar race
RANGERS have been linked with a move for Dundee United defender John Souttar, just days after reported interest from Celtic.
The 19-year-old, who can play in defensive midfield or central defence, has been courted by the likes of Arsenal, Southampton and Sunderland, with United accepting a £600k bid from the latter only for Souttar to knock it back.
Rangers are reportedly on the lookout for defensive cover, with Souttar mentioned as a possible target. (Various)
Wilson set to join Hoops on loan
MANCHESTER United striker James Wilson is set to join Celtic on a loan deal until the end of the season in January, according to reports.

Mixu to be unveiled at Tannadice
DUNDEE United’s search for Jackie McNamara’s successor has finally reached a conclusion with former striker Mixu Paatelainen due to be unveiled as manager this afternoon.
A long day of negotiations yesterday finished without the expected press conference to introduce Paatelainen, who played for the club between 1987 and 1992.
The 48 year-old Finn is expected to put pen to paper this morning before being presented in front of the media this afternoon. (The Scotsman)
McGhee returns to Fir Park
MARK McGhee returned to Motherwell for a second term as manager last night, replacing the ousted Ian Baraclough.
Former ‘Well favourite Simo Valakari had been mentioned but the Scotland assistant boss has taken the reins at Fir Park.

Kilmarnock launch new ticket pricing
KILMARNOCK have revealed that home and away fans are to be charged the same ticket prices - except when Celtic come to town.
The Rugby Park side will charge adults £20 regardless of what end they are in - but this won’t include Scottish Cup ties, play-offs or Celtic matches.
Killie fans had voiced concerns at being able to buy tickets for £20 the day before a match, but being charged £24 at the turnstiles. (Daily Record)
