Beram Kayal prepares to leave Celtic

Celtic midfielder has told an Israeli paper that he is keen to leave Celtic after becoming frustrated with the physical nature of the game in Scotland.

Kayal had a promising start to his Celtic career but has struggled with injuries and has had subsequent loss of form since.

He revealed that in his first season he was courted by then Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish and former Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson about a potential move.

The 26 year-old also said he was still angry with Rangers midfielder Lee McCulloch for causing his first injury. (Scotsman)

Hearts could forfeit remaining fixtures

Any team due to face Hearts in the final games of the SPFL season could be given automatic 3 - 0 wins should the Tynecastle club be liquidated and are unable to fulfil their remaining fixtures. (Herald)

Hearts manager Gary Locke says all he can do is “pray” that Hearts aren’t liquidated ahead of a meeting of creditors in Lithuania on Monday who will decide whether or not to accept a CVA that would take the club out of administation.

Ann Budge’s bid to take control of Hearts has been stalled by some creditors holding out for more of the money owed to them.

Hearts could finally be relegated tonight if the lose to Aberdeen. (Scotsman)

• Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes says Scotland’s top flight will be a poorer place should Hearts be relegated this evening. Hearts remain the only team in the SPFL top flight that the Dons have yet to beat this season.

• Dons player Mark Reynolds says his side will show Hearts mercy tonight.

He said: “If we turn up expecting to win then we are going to be in for a shock.”

Easdales set on control of Rangers - Morton chairman

Morton chairman Douglas Rae believes the Easdale brothers want to be the two main power brokers ar Rangers but has not given up on convincing the duo to invest in the Cappielow club.

Leigh Griffiths faces censure over chant

Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths faces a two match ban after being filmed singing “Hearts are going bust” before the Ediburgh derby last weekend.

He was issued by a notice of complaint by SFA compliance officer Vincent Lunny yesterday and his case will be heard on April 24. (Scotsman)

Aberdeen keep to keep Logan

Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes is keen to make Shaleum Logan’s stay at Pittodrie permanent having joined on loan from Brentford in January. The 26 year-old defender is out of contract at the end of the season. (Press and Journal)
