Belgium warning

Scotland defender Russell Martin has warned that Belgium are good enough to win the World Cup, as the two side prepare to meet tomorrow night.

He said: “If you look at their team, it’s a powerful team. If you are looking at a team of athletes, they are right up there. They are powerful but they’ve got match-winners in their team as well.” (Scotsman)

McClelland eyes Rangers chair return

John McClelland could be set to return as Rangers chairman as part of a peace deal to end the bitter power struggle at Ibrox.

McClelland was previously chairman between 2002 and 2004, and Paul Murray and bus tycoon Sandy Easdale and accountancy expert Frank Blin could join the board as directors. (Scotsman)

Playing at Murrayfield for Champions League qualifiers could be bad for Celtic, according to youth coach Stephen Frail.
