Ferguson could seal Blackpool job
FORMER Scotland captain Barry Ferguson will meet the Blackpool hierarchy today, aiming to secure his role as permanent manager of the Championship side.
Ferguson took charge of the Seasiders as they drew 1-1 with Doncaster this weekend, and he is now hoping to stay at the helm for the remainder of the season.

Rangers line up Romanian Tamas
RANGERS are reportedly keen to make a move for Romanian international defender Gabriel Tamas in time for next season.
The Doncaster centre-half, who has played for clubs in Spain, Russia and England, has allegedly held talks over a summer move to Ibrox.
Tamas has been capped 63 times by Romania, although he was briefly banned from international duty after he and former Chelsea striker Adrian Mutu were caught drinking in the lead-up to a game. (Herald)
Nicky Law: ‘We’re not the same Rangers’
RANGERS midfielder Nicky Law has warned the club’s fans to temper their expectations as the Ibrox side continue their unbeaten run in League One.
Law said: “You’d like the fans to be more patient but then you can understand their frustrations because of some of the teams they’ve had here down the years.
“Sometimes you have to take a step back and realise where you are at the minute. It’s not the Rangers of two or three years ago.” (Express)
Lennon expects Forster to stay
CELTIC manager Neil Lennon has reiterated that he expects Fraser Forster to remain at Celtic.

Hide AdForster has been repeatedly linked with clubs across Europe, and Lennon said: “I’ve said all along that I’m pretty confident he’ll be here when the window closes, as the majority of our main players will be.
“It wouldn’t surprise me if an offer were to come in (for Forster). But we’re not encouraging it at the moment.” (Scotsman)
Tony Watt back on track in Belgium
CELTIC’s Tony Watt has returned to form while on loan at Belgian side Lierse, scoring twice in his side’s 4-3 win at the weekend.
Watt has now scored four goals in his last three games, after suffering a difficult start to his spell at the club.
Watt has twice been sent home from training by coach Stanley Menzo, and was sent off for violent conduct less than a minute after coming on as a substitute in a game earlier this season. (Herald)
Butcher rages at referee Thomson
HIBERNIAN manager Terry Butcher has hit out at Craig Thomson over the referee’s decision which led to Celtic taking charge of the sides’ match yesterday.
Thomson gave handball against Michael Nelson, which led to Virgil van Dijk’s free kick to put Celtic 2-0 up, and Butcher claimed that Thomson had given the opposite decision in a near-identical situation a fortnight ago.
Butcher said: “That free kick was bizarre. The same referee didn’t give a handball against the same player for the same incident at Aberdeen.” (Various)
