The Tannadice club say they will listen to offers for Gary Mackay-Steven if he doesn’t agree a new deal in the summer. The 23 year-old is in talks about a new deal but boss Jackie McNamara admits the player may move on if he rejects the club’s offer of a contract. (Sun)

Hearts set to trial Lee Currie

The Tynecastle club will run the rule over Berwick Rangers captain Lee Currie. Currie scored 18 goals last season and is keen to return to full time football after being released by Hibs as a youngster. (Express)

Samaras puts Greece through

Former Celtic striker Georgios Samaras put his country into the last 16 of the Champions League from the penalty spot last night. Samaras was freed by Celtic after his contract expired at the end of last season. (Sun)

Hodgson confident he will remain as England manager

Although there will be continued discussion between Club England, the body which runs the England national team, and manager Roy Hodgson to investigate what went wrong in Brazil, it has been confirmed there will no formal report produced.

Hodgson is contracted until the end of Euro 2016, and his position is apparently secure, despite England finishing in bottom place in Group D after collecting just one point. (Scotsman)

Rangers take Bouzid on trial

Rangers have taken former Kilmarnock and Hearts defender Ismael Bouzid on trial over the pre-season training period. Bouzid made 65 appearances for Hearts before leaving for Greece in 2011. He returned to Scotland with Kilmarnock however his time at the Rugby Park club was plagued by injury. (Scotsman)

No fall out with Collins says Celtic captain

Celtic captain Scott Brown insists the arrival of his former Hibernian manager John Collins is a positive step.

And the midfielder stressed he made sure he did not fall out with Collins at any stage because he suspected they might work together again.

Brown was part of a first-team squad that infamously complained to Hibs chairman Rod Petrie over the working methods of Collins in 2007 and he left for Celtic Park in a £4.4million move weeks later.

Dundee United steer clear of Denny Johnstone

Dundee United have been scared off Celtic striker Denny Johnstone for fear of another transfer tribunal. The Tannadice club signed Rangers midfielder Charlie Telfer, 18, on a three year deal earlier this month. They are believed to have offered £60,000 but Rangers are demanding three times that amount.
