Rennes fans vote against naming ground Celtic Park
The Ligue 1 outfit are revamping their stadium during the close season and had given supporters of the Brittany club the chance to choose the ground’s new name.
Previously named the Stade Route de Lorient, the 29,376-capacity stadium will have all its seats painted red to reflect the club’s primary colour and has been renamed Roazhon Park. Roazhon is Breton for Rennes.

Hide AdFans had been given three options for the stadium’s new name: Roazhon Park, Stade Hermines and Roazhon Celtic Park.
It is believed the Roazhon Celtic Park suggestion was to highlight the Celtic cross in Breton heritage and also the club’s ‘Celtic Kop’ stand.
But supporters have chosen Roazhon Park, as reported by L’Equipe over the weekend.
Celtic met Rennes in 2011, drawing 1-1 in France and winning 3-1 at home.
