Nir Biton set to undergo Celtic medical

Celtic signing target Nir Biton will undergo a medical at Parkhead today, according to reports.

The 21-year-old defensive midfielder watched Celtic’s 3 - 0 Champions League win over Shakhter Karagandy last night Parkhead and is expected to sign a four year deal.

The Israeli Under-21 captain could sign within the next 48 hours if he passes his medical.

Biton has made 120 appearances in his four years with Israeli side FC Ashod.

He had two previous trial spells with Manchester City in 2012.

Pukki

Celtic also look set to complete the signing of £3m rated striker Teemu Pukki from FC Schalke after the German side’s injury fears over Adam Szalai proved unfounded.

The club confirmed that a fee has been agreed between the club with Celtic now negotiating personal terms with the player.

Szalai picked up a wrist injury against PAOK Salonika in the Champions League however it was found not to be serious.
