Neil Lennon explains absence of Ismaila Soro as Scott Brown returns to the team

Neil Lennon reveals Ismaila Soro was omitted from the Celtic staring XI due to “fatigue”.

Celtic supporters weren’t happy to see the impressive and in-form Ivorian omitted with captain Scott Brown returning to the base of midfield.

But Lennon insists it was purely to give the player a break: “Soro has been struggling with a bit of fatigue. He's a young player and has played a lot of games recently, so we thought it best that we took him out and gave him a rest.”
