Lierse rivals keeping tabs on frozen-out Tony Watt
Last year’s runners-up Zulte Waregem are believed to be keen on signing the striker permanently, and are weighing up a bid of £650,000 to take the striker to the Regenboogstadion.
However, Waregem - who are managed by former police detective Francky Dury - could face competition from mid-table KV Oostende.
The 20-year-old Watt has scored eight goals in 17 appearances for Lierse, but a series of very public fall-outs with manager Stanley Menzo, and his demotion to the club’s reserve side have cast doubts on his future in Lier.
Celtic boss Neil Lennon has stated that the Scotland Under-21 striker will be back at Parkhead next season, but he could be swayed by a bid from Belgium to let the forward move on.
