How to watch Atalanta v Celtic in the Champions League
Celtic will hope to learn the lessons of their 7-1 thrashing in Dortmund when they return to Champions League duty with a trip to Atalanta on Wednesday.
Brendan Rodgers’ side opened this season’s newly revamped competition with a resounding 5-1 home win over Slovakian champions Slovan Bratislava in September.
However, the humbling in Germany on matchday two brought them back down to earth and they now travel to the Italian city of Bergamo looking to restore some pride.
They face a tough tast against an Atalanta side who are the reigning Europa League champions after their 3-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen in last season’s final in Dublin in May.
The Nerazzurri (blue and blacks) have also got this season’s Champions League campaign off to a positive start with a goalless home draw against Arsenal followed by a 3-0 away win over Shakhtar Donetsk, which took place in Gelsenkirchen.
Gian Piero Gasperini’s side currently sixth in Serie A and go into the match on the back of a 2-0 away win over Venezia on Sunday. Celtic, meanwhile, lost their 100 per cent domestic record on Saturday after being held to a 2-2 draw by nearest challengers Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership.
