How to watch Aberdeen v Celtic
Celtic can close the gap to leaders Hearts at the top of the Scottish Premiership to three points with a win over Aberdeen at Pittodrie on Wednesday night.
Martin O’Neill’s side will be looking to take advantage of Hearts’ slip-up the previous night, with the Jambos falling to a 1-0 defeat at St Mirren after having Craig Halkett sent off in the first half.
Celtic go into the match on the back of a 2-0 win over Falkirk on Sunday and remain unbeaten in the league across O’Neill’s two spells in charge this season, winning eight of their nine Premiership matches under his watch.
Celtic will have three new loan signings in their squad following the transfer deadline day arrivals of Austria striker Junior Adamu from Bundesliga club Freiburg, 20-year-old Brentford centre-half Benjamin Arthur and 23-year-old Norwegian winger Joel Mvuka from Lorient.
Aberdeen could also hand debuts to three players following the signings of midfielders Dennis Geiger (on loan from Hoffenheim), Afeez Aremu (permanent from Kaiserslautern) and defender Tom McIntyre (free agent following his release from Portsmouth).
The Dons are still operating under the stewardship of interim head coach Peter Leven with the search for a new manager reaching 31 days since the sacking of Jimmy Thelin.
Aberdeen will be looking to bounce back from a dismal 3-0 defeat at Kilmarnock on Saturday which leaves them languishing seventh in the table.
