Uefa chanting verdict delay

CELTIC will not learn the outcome of Uefa’s disciplinary hearing on alleged illicit chanting by their supporters until Monday.

Uefa’s Control and Disciplinary Body considered the case yesterday but the announcement of its judgment has been delayed because of the number of other incidents they were dealing with. Celtic were charged after the Strathclyde Police match commander complained to the Uefa match delegate about pro-IRA chanting at the Europa League Group I game on 3 November.

A meeting between Celtic manager Neil Lennon and the Green Brigade section of the club’s support has still to take place as the club try to eradicate the chants.
