He appears to rampage around the park without risk of censure but is the first to be bleating to the referee when he feels the slightest contact.

Have referees also become blasé about basics such as placing the ball on the penalty spot (it’s called that for a reason) or stopping the game for head knocks?

Nevertheless, Celtic ground out another vital win, thanks in no small part to Victor Wanyama (I can’t believe this boy is only 20) and a couple of tremendous saves from big FF.

The tough games keep coming. We’ve just got to topple the current Serie A leaders tomorrow in Udinese before playing catch up, again, on Sunday against St Johnstone.

But, it’s December, so I am not overly hopeful.
