SPL fanzone: Celtic

ALTHOUGH Celtic eventually ran out comfortable winners at Tannadice, only a fantastic save from FF stopped the Arabs taking the lead and poor finishing meant they didn’t punish our sloppy defending. However, once we cast off our lethargy we seemed to get our mojo back.

Joe’s goal was well-worked but Sammi’s goal was brave, especially after viciously assaulting Neilson’s elbow with his nose.

Talking of noses, I bitterly remember Dalziel’s schnozzle scoring the equaliser for Raith Rovers in ‘94, a game Celtic were supposed to win easily. Partick Thistle in ’71, again, we were overwhelming favourites but contrived to make a legend out of Alan Rough. To avoid a repeat of these previous hiccups, Celtic must come out with all guns blazing this Sunday in the League Cup final and get the snappiness back in their play from the off.
