Lennon angered by Celtic’s ‘indifference’

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has admitted he fears his players may be guilty of indifference to the stuttering form which has seen them slip 12 points behind Rangers in the SPL title race. “I have shown a lot of faith in these players, and they keep letting me and my backroom staff down at the minute,” said Lennon. “I don’t know if it really hurts them enough, or if they treat it with indifference.” (Scotsman)

Jamie Mackie, who only recently returned to action for Queen’s Park Rangers after being sidelined for eight months after suffering a broken leg, is expected to be recalled today as Craig Levein names his first Scotland squad since the end of the failed Euro 2012 qualification campaign last month. Scotland manager Craig Levein is “angry” with his former club Dundee United for failing to publicly support Peter Houston far sooner than they did. “I’m angry because they should’ve come out long before now and dismissed all this nonsense,” said Levein. “I don’t know where this has come from, but if someone behind the scenes has been briefing the press, then that’s disgraceful.” (Scotsman)
