Ronny Deila has said he will continue to be questioned as manager of Celtic until he has won silverware. The Norwegian has been the subject of scathing criticism in his first six months after slips in the club’s European and domestic campaigns. Celtic are now playing catch up to Premiership leaders Aberdeen.

He said: “Until I win something, I will be questioned. That just motivates me and I have one goal - to win everything in Scotland.” (The Sun)

Neil could be bigger than Lambert

Norwich City’s new manager Alex Neil was told he could be an even bigger success at Carrow Road than fellow Scot Paul Lambert by the man who gave him the job, chief executive David McNally. Celtic manager Ronny Deila is plotting a move for Wigan forward Shaun Maloney who has just six months left on his contract at the English club. The move would see Maloney completing a third spell at Celtic Park.

The Norwegian admitted he was seriously considering making a swoop for the 31-year-old, saying: “He looks like a Celtic player.” (The Sun)

Former Rangers midfielder Lewis Macleod spoke out on Friday insisting he was happy at Ibrox and only left because the club needed the money from his sale. The 20-year-old joined Brentford earlier this month signing a cut price £850,000 deal. (The Sun)
