Rangers' £4.2m star in demand, Celtic Idah blow, audacious EPL raid, Hearts close in on No 7 - SPFL transfers
Idah to get Norwich chance
New Norwich City manager Johannes Hoff Thorup says he wants to give Adam Idah a chance at Carrow Road. The Irishman is a transfer target for Celtic after a successful loan spell last season, but with the Canaries under new management, they may face resistance for a permanent deal.
"See it from another perspective," said Thorup in an interview with local media. "Imagine that he was a striker in another club with his track record, with his history, academy background and so on. What would we say about him? We would say he is a quite an interesting striker, I would guarantee.

I hope that he will find that the way we do things now will also encourage him, and will also give him the feeling that, ‘Okay this is the right place for me’. That's the ambition for now, because I think he's a good player with some good qualities and it could definitely be a striker for us.
“For all the players here, it will be unfair for me to say that, from day one, I will just go and say, ‘Okay, we need this and this and this’. No, I have to give them a chance. We have to see."
New club chases Dessers
Speculation continues to surround the future of Rangers striker Cyriel Dessers. The Nigerian scored 22 goals in his maiden season at Ibrox after a move from Cremonese, but the 29-year-old is being linked with a move away from Ibrox.
Greek champions PAOK are believed to be interested in Dessers and now Italian Serie A side Cagliari are reported to be weighing up a move. Italian media outlet Tuttomercatoweb claim that they are prepared to bid £4.2million for the striker.

Aberdeen want to bring Brighton winger Jeremy Sarmiento on loan for the upcoming the season. The Scottish Sun claims that the 22-year-old, who has just returned from Copa America duty with Ecuador, will be allowed to leave the Seagulls on loan and that the Dons are lining up an audacious loan bid.
Sarmiento spent last term on loan at Ipswich Town, helping them win promotion to the Premier League. New Dons boss Jimmy Thelin is looking for reinforcements in the forward areas and Aberdeen's competitive season kicks off against Queen of the South in the Premier Sports Cup this weekend.
Hearts close on Taylor
Hearts hope to tie up a transfer for Costa Rican defender Gerald Taylor in the coming days after the 23-year-old arrived in Edinburgh to finalise his transfer from Deportivo Saprissa.
Taylor, 23, plays predominantly as a left-back and was recently away with Los Ticos at the Copa America. He is expected to link up with fellow countryman Kenneth Vargas, who Hearts signed from the Costa Rican top flight 12 months ago.
