Ledley only interested in Inverness tie

Joe Ledley has turned his attention to Celtic’s William Hill Scottish Cup fifth-round tie at Inverness this weekend, leaving aside for now all talk of a domestic treble.

Celtic are one point clear of Old Firm rivals Rangers at the top of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League with a game in hand. Neil Lennon’s side also reached the final of the Scottish Communities League Cup with a 3-1 win over Falkirk at Hampden on Sunday, which extended the club’s domestic winning run to 14 matches.

However, Ledley insists the focus will be solely on Saturday’s game in the Highlands. “We’re on a good run at the moment and we always say it but we have to take each game as it comes,” said the Wales international.

“We’re putting the Falkirk game behind us now. It’s good knowing we have a final coming up but we’re forgetting about that for the moment. And we don’t get back to league business for a while, so we’re not thinking about that just now either.

“We’re away to Caley Thistle at the weekend in another cup tournament, and we want to win that one, too.

“It’s going to be difficult, it always is up there, and Caley will be desperate to progress in the cup themselves. But we’re looking strong just now and we have a lot of players back from injury now.”
