CELTIC have been linked with Croatian midfielder Ljuban Crepulja, as Ronny Deila seeks January reinforcements.

Crepulja, 22, is currently with Prva HNL outfit Slaven Belupo, but was attached to Dinamo Zagreb at the same time as current Hoops defender Jozo Šimunović.

A defensive midfielder, Crepulja has made more than 70 appearances for Belupo, scoring twice, and was capped by Croatia at Under-20 level.

Celtic scouts became aware of Crepulja while running the rule over another Hoops target, Ivan Mocinic, during a match between Rijeka and Belupo.

The Hoops had also been linked with Marko Grujic, but the Red Star Belgrade midfielder joined Liverpool earlier this week.

Ronny Deila has also been keeping tabs on Serbian defender Aleksandar Pantic while 18-year-old St Patrick’s Athletic midfielder Darragh Markey will play in a bounce match this weekend.

Michael Duffy, who joined Celtic from Derry City last season, has extended his loan at Alloa.
