Kris Commons glad to regain form

FOLLOWING his two goals against Hibs, Kris Commons said he was relieved to have found his form after an inauspicious 2011-12 campaign.

Commons said: “Last season wasn’t anything to rave about was it? So it is nice to get back to scoring.

“Getting goals is a big part of my game as is creating goals. When you are not quite at the races and not scoring or creating you do take criticism. So, for me to score goals and create goals and play a part in winning a championship and hopefully a double, it’s a bonus.”

Commons, who revealed that he had taken pain killers for an ankle problem which had threatened to keep him out of the game, is now looking forward to Celtic clinching the title. “Hopefully we can get the job done in a couple of weeks. We will find out on Monday who we play in our next game and yes, try to get it wrapped up then,” he said.
