The former Scottish international has been working as a youth coach for the Scottish Premiership’s reigning champions but will now help out with first-team duties after the resignation of Neil Lennon earlier this week, according to the Scottish Sun.

Kennedy has taken over on an interim basis and may use the opportunity to put his name forward for the next permanent appointment, though high-profile names like Scotland boss Steve Clarke and former Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has been linked with the role.
