The home side had the better of the game’s chances and looked on course to break their rivals ‘invincible’ title-winning campaign after taking the lead through to Mohamed Elyounoussi’s 23rd minute header.
However, a goal from Alfredo Morelos seven minutes before half-time – his first for Rangers against Celtic at the 15th attempt – earned the champions a point and preserved their 33 match unbeaten run in the Premiership this season.
Rangers had goalkeeper Allan McGregor to thank for a series of saves as Celtic dominated the shots on goal tally, with 16 attempts to Rangers’ six, while John Kennedy’s side also enjoyed the lions share of possession.
But how did the Celtic players rate … ?

No chance with Morelos equaliser, but made a good save from a Kent volley. Lucky to avoid a catastrophe last in the second half when he cannoned a clearance off Stephen Welsh. Photo: Craig Williamson - SNS Group
2. Jonjoe Kenny - 5
The Everton loanee had a personal disaster at Rangers equaliser - his slack passback conceding the corner then losing Morelos from the flick-on. Almost atoned with a terrific late cross that Edouard just missed Photo: Ross MacDonald - SNS Group
3. Diego Laxalt - 8
Back to the level of performance shown when he first joined on loan from AC Milan. Terrorised Rangers down the left and linked well with McGregor. Photo: Craig Williamson - SNS Group
4. Stephen Welsh - 8
Had a solid game and looked comfortable throughout. Won his individual duels and kept possession. Photo: Ross Parker - SNS Group
