Neil Lennon’s side have made it four consecutive victories after defeating Ross County 2-0 at Celtic Park.
The Hoops were comfortable for the majority of the match, especially after David Turnbull gave the hosts a first-half lead, converting a Jeremie Frimpong cut-back.
Chances were missed after the break to put the game beyond doubt before Leigh Griffiths marked his first start in a couple of months with a goal, heading excellently back across Ross Laidlaw.
The Hoops remain 16 points behind Rangers but still hold three games in hand and are building up some momentum prior to the New Year clash between the sides.

Would have been a 9 or even a 10 based on the amount of times he roasted the Ross County defence. But other than his assist for the opener his crossing was poor. Photo: Craig Foy - SNS Group

Back in the centre of defence but should his usual ability to drive forward with the ball and was commanding in defence. Photo: Craig Foy - SNS Group

Could maybe have done better to stay closer to Ross Stewart at an early chance but was fine overall. Photo: Craig Williamson - SNS Group

Busy throughout, the ease with which he steps inside to play the inverted full-back role helped his attackers pull County players out of position. 7 Photo: Rob Casey - SNS Group

The crispness and immaculate ball circulation normally a given from the Celtic captain wasn’t always in evidence, but the willing was certainly there. 6 Photo: Craig Foy - SNS Group

7. David Turnbull
Starting in place of the injured Reo Hatate, he appeared the midfielder most likely to make things happen in curious first half, before giving way to Giorgos Giakoumakis in the 73rd minute as Celtic chased a winning goal. 7 Photo: Craig Williamson - SNS Group

8. Matt O'Riley
His growing reputation may be preceding him as close attention from opponents meant he couldn’t always get on the ball and play telling passes as his game is built around. 6 Photo: Craig Williamson - SNS Group
