It was a tale of two halves for Neil Lennon’s side after the 3-1 loss to begin their Europa League group stage campaign.
After a lively opening period, the hosts fell behind to Rade Krunic’s header before Brahim Diaz made the most of Milan’s increasing pressure in the period to put the visitors 2-0 up before the break.
Lennon made a couple of substitutions at the half and altered his shape, going into a 4-3-3/4-1-4-1 formation and seeing a much better showing.
Mohamed Elyounoussi gave hope of an unlikely comeback with a 76th minute header, though Jens Petter Hauge wrapped the game up just over a minute into stoppage time.

Not at fault for any of the goals though Celtic fans are still waiting on him to pull off the kind of miraculous saves his predecessor Fraser Forster was known for. Photo: Craig Foy - SNS Group

Similar flaws as Saturday as he charged out of position to attack the ball too often, leaving space in behind. Also could've done better at the opener. Photo: Ross Parker - SNS Group

Didn't get close enough to Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the build up to the second goal and his lack of pace was badly exposed at the third. Another rough game in possession too. Photo: Craig Foy - SNS Group

Easily Celtic's best centre-back on the night. He made a number of important blocks and didn't deserve to be on a team that shipped three goals. Photo: Craig Foy - SNS Group
