JOHN Guidetti has denied holding talks with Feyenoord’s transfer chief Martin van Geel - after the Dutch club’s technical director travelled to Scotland.

Guidetti has been linked with a return to the Eredivisie outfit, where he scored 20 goals in 23 games during a loan spell in the 2011/12 season.

And the Dutch giants are reportedly keen on bringing Guidetti to De Kuip to partner Dirk Kuyt next season.

The Swedish striker’s contract with Manchester City is up in the summer, and despite Celtic agreeing an option to buy the 22-year-old in the summer, it is looking increasingly likely that Guidetti sees his future outwith Scotland.

And van Geel’s trip to Glasgow last weekend has fuelled that speculation, given his involvement in Feyenoord’s transfer policy.

But Guidetti sought to play down the Dutchman’s trip to Glasgow, telling RTV Rijnmond before Celtic’s 1-0 defeat to St Johnstone: “Why was van Geel here? I’ve no idea. Maybe just to watch a fun game.”
