Celtic continue to make all the headlines this month – but not for incoming or outgoing player movements, nor even their actions on the pitch.
After the Dubai trip controversy, Christopher Jullien’s positive Covid test then Peter Lawwell’s apology it was all beginning to turn back towards the on-field matters until Neil Lennon’s explosive media conferences yesterday which dominated the airwaves yesterday and covers the backpages today.
In amongst the manager’s broadside at the media, the Scottish Government and Andy Walker, there is some transfer news to remind us it is January and peak trading period.
Still, Celtic, and across the city at Rangers, it is all quiet on the transfer-front with no incomings so far, and only one outgoing – Kai Kennedy’s loan switch to Raith Rovers – for the top two in the league.
There’s been a few other moves elsewhere but if this January transfer window is to pick up, there’s less than a fortnight for it to get going.
How and where could it pick up? This morning’s rumour mill has a few suggestions from around the newspapers and websites.
