Familiar grumbles from Celtic supporters as fans react to Neil Lennon's team selection for Ross County clash

Neil Lennon has named his Celtic side to face Ross County with captain Scott Brown returning to the starting line-up in place of Ismaila Soro.

This was enough to earn a negative reaction from the Parkhead support ahead of tonight’s match as they’d rather see the Ivorian in the starting XI.

That wasn’t all that got their backs up. The presence of Tom Rogic instead of Albian Ajeti means it’s likely that Ryan Christie will once again start up front for the Hoops.

Supporters have been critical of Lennon’s use of Christie in this role and we’re slow in making their feelings known on social media.

This is what they said:

@BhoysAnalytics: “Soro plays well, gets dropped. Scott Brown plays so bad that your managerial career is over and you’ll never be welcome at Celtic again, starts every week."

@CptBaconBaps: “Why is there 3 strikers on the bench? Why is Bain in goals? Lennon absolutely has to go.”

@belfrybhoy3: “Not Brown again - Soro should be one of the first names on the team sheet.”

@BhoyOfBedrock: “Dire choice again......start playing a number 10 as number 9, with 3 strikets on the bench. Drop Soro who has been playing consistly well, playing rogic and christie in the same eleven Does NL pick the team by pulling names out a hat.”

@DigDig77: “Presumably playing 2 up front, 1 striker and 1 midfielder with 3 strikers on the bench Face with tears of joy poor Ajeti must still be fatigued spending so long sitting on his a***.”

@sean_adams1603: “Why change a team that’s beat killie and st mirren 4-0 ? Stick with a formation and starting 11. Sick of the constant changes.”

@WereGlasgowCelt: “Why do we play with about 20 centre mids?”

@dembele259: “Don’t get this tbh it’s simple play soro as the six and griff up with edouard because griffiths is the only one that can keep up with eddy. Christie up front doesn’t work because he occupies the same position as Turnbull and rogic. Expect a st Johnstone type of performance.”

@jordankenny7: “Ajeti is playing well and more games under his belt will do him really well”... so I’ll drop him constantly since making that statement. What a f**** of a guy we have at the helm.”
