The 27-year-old has been out since the end of last year after crashing into the Celtic Park post during a 3-0 win against Dundee United in December.

Now, Jullien is back in France recovering from the blow and his Parkhead boss fears the Frenchman will spend between six and nine months on the sidelines.

That would rule the £7m man out for the remainder of the Premiership campaign and into the 2021-22 season.

"He’s out a long period of time – six to nine months and he’s gone back to do some rehab in France,” Lennon confirmed ahead of a Sunday trip to Dingwall to face Ross County.

Jullien will obviously miss the trip as weill James Forrest – another long-term injury victim at Parkhead this season – despite the winger making steps back towards full fitness since his lay-off in September.

"He’s not back training with the group,” Lennon revealed. “He’s doing some individual rehabilitation.

"He had a wee bit of a set-back and we’re keeping an eye on it. We want him to come back right and fresh to hit the ground running and he’s been out a long time. It shouldn’t be too far in the near-distant future.

"We hope he might be with the squad next week and can take it from there.”

Shane Duffy has an Achilles issue and a decision will be made on Moi Elyounoussi nearer to the game which kicks off at the unusual time of 7.30pm on Sunday, televised live on the Sky Sports Football channel.
