Celtic's match with Dundee United halted as flares are thrown on pitch in 55th minute

Stopping Scottish football matches to deal with flare thrown onto the park is hardly a rare phenomenon – though it is certainly unusual with no supporters in grounds.

Despite not having access to Tannadice, fans were still able to interrupt Dundee United’s match with Celtic as a pair of pyrotechnics landed in the home side’s penalty box in the 55th minute.

The time would indicate they were thrown by Rangers supporters, as the Ibrox side are one point away (or Celtic dropping points) from their 55th title.
