Boost for Celtic in winger chase

Houston Dynamo winger Alberth Elis has reportedly turned down a new deal at the MLS side and is angling for a move to Europe, putting Celtic on high alert after they failed in a £3 million bid last season. The 24-year-old winger has an impressive goalcoring record from the flanks and his form has caught the eye of Stoke City and Fenerbahce but the Hoops are light on wide options and could make a move for the Honduran. Sunderland keen on Dykes

Sunderland have joined the race for in-demand Livingston striker Lyndon Dykes, while Derby County and a string of other, unnamed English clubs are also monitoring the 24-year-old’s situation. His 12 goals and ten assists before the coronavirus pandemic brought a premature end to the Scottish season won him numerous suitors with Celtic and Rangers also understood to be keen on his services. Rangers colts plan set to be kicked out

Rangers’ plans for league reconstruction that includes colt teams in the bottom tier looks set to be rejected today. Lack of fans ‘could be good for Kamberi’

Hibs supporters have given their thoughts on the prospect of Florian Kamberi returning to pre-season training with the club just months after he spoke of his loan move to Rangers as a ‘dream come true’. There is interest in the Swiss-born striker from clubs across Europe but as things stand the former Grasshoppers frontman is due to report back to East Mains next Monday. Most fans are against him ever playing for Hibs but one Hibee did suggest: “Games being played behind closed doors will suit him, no fans there to remind him he isn't wanted." (Evening News)
